Google investor rep Marc Andreessen says the company has been “out of contact” with PNC recently, which he said is because of a lack of communication from the company.
Andreessen said Google and PNC did not communicate “since the beginning of the year”.
“We don’t want to be out of contact, but they have not responded to any of our inquiries about their progress with the loan,” Andreessen told the BBC.
“We have not heard from them in a while.”
Google has been under intense pressure from investors to slash its debt levels as it struggles to win back its crown as the dominant internet search engine in the world.
PNC, which has been working to bring back some of its businesses, recently agreed to a $20bn deal with Google to acquire the struggling internet company for $10bn.
Andreesson said PNC was also in discussions to secure $20 billion more for its own investments.
Pnc is currently working to revive its PNC Network, which had been shuttered for six years.
Andress said the company had recently begun a $200m cash injection to revive the business.
